AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC. 5.52 USES OF
THE B-2 GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT OF THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK
GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission considered the question
of a text amendment to Sec. 5.52 of the Zoning Ordinance thereby
establishing business and trade schools as conditional uses
in the B-2 General Business Districts; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having
reviewed the recommendations of said Plan Commission find and
believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that
the Zoning Ordinance be so amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Paragraph C. Conditional Uses of Sec. 5.52
of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village be and the same is hereby
amended by adding thereto the following:
3. Business and Trade Schools.
Section 2: That Paragraph D. Prerequisites for Conditional
Uses of Sec. 5.52 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village be and
the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
3. Business and Trade Schools.
a) Instruction and/or training shall be limited
to classroom activities only.
b) All on-site instruction and/or training shall
be conducted within completely enclosed buildings.
c) There shall be no use of on-site industrial
machinery for training purposes.
d) No industrial vehicle other than passenger
cars, pick-up trucks or vans shall be permitted.
e) Parking requirements shall be in accordance
with Sec. 3.96E(3) - Colleges, Universities,
Trade Schools.
f) No dormitories or resident facilities shall be
permitted.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to
publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.

An Ordinance Amending Sec. 5.52 Uses Of The B-2 General Business
District of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove
Village was duly adopted by the President and Board of Trustees on
May 22, 1984. Said Ordinance has been published in Pamphlet Form
pursuant to the Authority of the President and Board of Trustees,
Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois.
Copies are available at the Village Clerk's Office, Municipal
Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
