AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF
SEC. 3.43 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF
THE VILLAGE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION
OF EIGHT (8) RENTAL STORAGE UNITS ON
PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
OAKTON STREET AT THE INTERSECTION OF
HIGGINS ROAD AND OAKTON STREET, ELK
GROVE VILLAGE (PUBLIC STORAGE INC.)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk
Grove Village, at a public meeting duly called and held according
to law considered the question of granting a variation to Public
Storage Inc. and McGraw -Edison Company of Sec. 3.43 of the
Zoning Ordinance, which Section permits only one principal
building and permitted accessory structure to be erected on any
lot of record, in order to permit the construction of eight (8)
rental storage units on property legally described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village after having reviewed the findings of said
Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe it to be in the best
interest of the Village that said variation be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sec. 3.43
of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village to
permit the construction of eight (8) rental storage units on
property located on the South side of Oakton Street at the
intersection of Higgins Road and Oakton Street, and legally
described as follows:
The West 225.0 feet of Lot 159 in Higgins
Industrial Park Unit 112 being a subdivision
in the Northeast Quarter of Section 27, Township
41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian in Cook County, Illinois.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
