HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 1568 - 4/26/1983 - ANNEX/SCHNELL-GENERAL NUMERICORDINANCE NO. 1568 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE OF ELY GROVE VILLAGE (SCHNELL-GENERAL NUMERIC) WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village by Ralph W. Schnell and Eleanor Schnell, being the record owners of the hereinafter described land and territory, said petition seeking annexation to the Village of Elk Grove Village; and WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, and has no electors residing thereon; and WHEREAS, any fire protection district, library district, town- ship road commissioner, or other entity or person entitled to notice prior to annexation of the subject property has been given such notice as is required by law; and WHEREAS, all statutory requirements in reference to the annexa- tion have been fully complied with and the Village President and Board of Trustees believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that said land and territory be annexed thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That the following land and territory, which terri- tory is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, and not within the limits of any other municipality, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village, so that said territory be included within the boundary limits of said Village as is by law in such case made and provided: The South 141.98 feet of the North 643.98 feet of the East Half (') of the Northwest Quarter (<) of the Northwest Quarter (;) of Section 27, Township 41 North, East of the Third Principal Meridian (excepting from said tract of land the West 523.60 feet thereof). Section 2: That all requisite fees due upon annexation to the Village of Elk Grove Village have been paid.- Section 3: That said property shall be zoned I -i .crt Industrial, which zoning is the classification described to the subject property on the official map of the Village. Section 4: That the Village Clerk of Elk Grove Village is directed to record a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with a plat of said territory, with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTES: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 ATTEST: Patricia S.
