AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE
PERMIT TO ROBERT E. NIEMIEC AND VIRIAN
J. WADFORD TO ALLOW THE ESTABLISHMENT
AND OPERATION OF A PACKAGE EXPRESS AND
PASSENGER BUS STATION AT 1020 EAST HIGGINS
ROAD, ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk
Grove Village at a public meeting duly called and held according
to law considered the question of granting a Special Use
Permit to Robert E. Niemiec and Virian J. Wadford to allow
the establishment and operation of a package express and
passenger bus station on property located within B-1 Business
District Zone; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village after having cosidered and
reviewed the recommendation and findings of said Plan ,
Commission find and believe it to be in the best interests
of the Village that said Special Use Permit be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That a Special Use Permit be granted to
Robert E. Niemiec and Virian J. Wadford to permit the
establishment and operation of a package express and passenger
bus station at 1020 East Higgins Road, Elk Grove Village,
subject to the following conditions:
1. That adequate security lighting be provided for
buses and passengers.
2. That the bus area be striped and signed for bus
use only.
3. That a marked aisle be provided leading from the
walk area to the parking lot.
4. Not more than ten (10) scheduled (both intra- and
interstate) buses be permitted.
Section 2: That should the permittees abandon the
operation of the package express and passenger bus station
at the location set forth herein for a period in excess of
thirty (30) days, then the Special Use Permit herein granted
shall automatically terminate and expire.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
