HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 1501 - 12/8/1981 - LIQUOR BY A MINORORDINANCE NO. 1501 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18.1205D OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY MAKING IT UNLAW- FUL FOR ANY MINOR TO SERVE, POUR, MIX OR SELL ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, pursuant to its home rule authorities as follows: Section 1: That Section 18.1205D of the Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended by renumbering the present paragraph 5. therein to paragraph 6. and establishing a new paragraph 5. which shall read as follows: 5. It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of twenty-one (21) years to serve, pour, mix or sell alcoholic liquor in any licensed establishment and it shall be unlaw- ful for the holder of a liquor license, his agent or employee to suffer or permit any such person to serve, pour, mix or sell alcoholic liquor of any kind. Section 2: Any person violating any provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than Twenty- five ($25.00) Dollars, nor more than Two Hundred Fifty ($250.00) Dollars for each offense. Any subsequent conviction of a viola- tion of this Section within one (1) year from the date of the first conviction shall render such person subject to a fine of not less than Fifty ($50.00) Dollars, nor more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars for each offense. In addition to all other fines and penalties, the Liquor Control Commissioner may revoke or suspend the retail liquor dealer's license for any violation of this ordinance. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
