HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 1509 - 2/9/1982 - ZONING VARIATION/GENERAL FURNITURE COORDINANCE NO. 1509 A14 ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF ELK GROVE. VILLAGE TO PERMIT THIRTY-ONE (31%) PERCENT OF THE EXISTING FLOOR AREA TO BE USED FOR RETAIL SALES (GENERAL FURNITURE COMPANY) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village at a public meeting duly called and held according to law considered the question of granting a variation of Sec. 5.81E of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village with respect to the retail use of the floor area of a primary building or structure to LaSalle National Bank as Trustee under Trust No. 101438 and William A. Alter, the beneficiary of said Trust, for property located at 1400 East Higgins Road and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having reviewed the recommendation of said Zoning Board of Appeals and -also after having reviewed the recommendation of the Judiciary Planning and Zoning Committee of the Village find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that such variation be granted subject to the conditions set forth herein; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sec. 5.3E1 of the Zoning Ordinance to LaSalle National Bank as Trustee under Trust No. 101438 and William A. Alter, beneficiary of said Trust, to permit Five Thousand -Square Feet (5,000') of showroom space (31%) for property leased to General Furniture Com- pany located at 1400 E. Higgins Road and legally described as follows: That part of the West 1 of the Southeast 14 of Section 22, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal !Meridian, lying East of the East line of the West 878.00 feet (as measured on a line parallel with the North line of said Southeast ;), North of the Northerly right-of-way line of Higgins Road and South of the South line of the North 971.00 feet of said West � of the South- east ; (as said line is monumented and occupied) in Cook County, Illinois. Subject to the following conditions: 1. The location of the Five Thousand Square Feet (5000') to be utilized for the retail use shall be limited to that depicted on a floor plan attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein. 2. That all parking requirements pertaining to retail use of property as set forth in the Zoning Ordinance be adhered to. 3. That this variation shall be for a one (1) year period and shall expire one (1) year from the effective date of this Ordinance. Section 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
