HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 1525 - 5/11/1982 - ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDEDORDINANCE NO. 1525 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE TO PERMIT FENCES IN CERTAIN LOCATIONS ON TRIPLE FRONTAGE LOTS WHERE ONE YARD FRONTS ON A MAJOR ARTERIAL STREET WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, acting as a Zoning Commission, at a public meeting duly called and held according to law considered the question of amending the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village in order to permit fences in certain locations on triple frontage lots fronting on a major arterial street; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that the Zoning Ordinance be amended as recommended by the Plan Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That Sec. 9.12 of Article 9, Definitions, of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following: TRIPLE FRONTAGE LOT. A lot which abuts on three (3) streets. MAJOR ARTERIAL STREET. Those streets designed for heavier traffic volume and/or higher operating speed. Section 2: That Sec. 5.23 of Article 5, Accessory Structures and Uses Permitted in All Residence Districts of the Zoning Ordinance be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a new paragraph which shall read as follows: F. On triple frontage lots where one yard fronts on a major arterial street, fences shall be permitted within that portion of the front yard which fronts the major arterial street, but such fence shall not be permitted within any other front yard or ahead of any building set- back line as extended to any lot line in the R-1, R-2 and R-3 Districts. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law. VOTES: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 APPROVED: Charles J.
