AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, SUBDIVISIONS; CHAPTER 11,
STREETSAND SIDEWALKS; CHAPTLR 22A, WATcP, AND SEWER; OF THE
MUNiCi':aL LODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois,
as follows:
Section 1: That Section 8.007, Subdivision Procedures, paragraph A,
number 4, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
4. The Village Engineer is to review all
supporting documents submitted with the
final plat to assure that they are in
accordance with Village standards and
sound engineering practice.
Section 2: That Sections 11.101, 11.106, 11.107, 11.108, 11.311,
11.312, 11.401, 11.406, 22A.101, 22A.104, 22A.303, and 22A.801, par-
agaphs C, D, and E, be in the same is hereby amended by deleting the words
"SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS", or SUPERINTENDENT OF WATER AND SEWER",
or "SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS", or "SUPERINTENDENT" and inserting the
words "DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS OR HIS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE".
Section 3: That Chapter 11, Section 11.308, Manner of Excavation, -be -in the
same is hereby amending paragraph 5, first sentence, by deleting the words
required by the "STREET DEPARTMENT" and inserting the words required by the
"DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS", and further amending the second sentence by
deleting the words adopted "JANUARY 2, 1958" and inserting the words
adopted "OCTOBER 1, 1979".
Section 4: That Article 11, Service Pipes, Section 22A.202 be in the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"No water and sewer service shall be installed
unless it conforms to the specifications drawn
up or approved by the Village Engeneer, a copy
of which shall be kept on file in the office
of the Director of Public Works".
Section 5: That Article X, Industrial Wastes Into the Sewage Treatment
Plant, Seciton 22A.1000, General, and Section 22A.1003, Permits, be in the
same are hereby amending the first sentence by deleting the words Village
of Elk Grove Village "WATER AND SEWER DEPARTMENT" and inserting the words
Village of Elk Grove Village "DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS".
Section 6: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
