AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED
BY THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate
authorities of the Village of Elk Grove Village, it is no longer necessary
or useful to or for the best interests of the Village of Elk Grove Village
to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village to sell said personal property at a public
sale to be held on Saturday, September 12, 1981 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES,
of the Village of Elk Grove Village:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code,
Illinois Revised Statutes, C24, Section 11-76-4, the President and Board of
Trustee of the Village of Elk Grove Village find that the personal property
described in the attached "Exhibit A" now owned by the Village of Elk Grove
Village, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Elk Grove Village,
and the best interests of the Village of Elk Grove Village will be served by
its sale.
Section 2. Pursuant to said Section I1-76-4, the Village Manager or his
designate is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal
property now owned by the Village of Elk Grove Village at public sale on Saturday,
September 12, 1981, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Herbert Behrel Commuter
Garage.
Section 3. The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the North-
west Municipal Conference to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal
property in a newspaper published within the community before the date of said
public sale.
Section 4. No offer which is less than the minimum price set forth in the list
of property to be sold shall be accepted.
Section 5. Upon payment of the full price, the Village Manager or his designate
is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title to the aforesaid
personal property, to the purchaser.

Section 6. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law, and by a vote of at least
three-fourths of the corporate authorities.
