HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 1471 - 7/28/1981 - ANNEX WELL SITE NO. 14ORDINANCE NO. 1 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN VILLAGE OWNED PROPERTY TO TH VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE 2,QU �4 � WHEREAS, the territory described in Section 2 of this Ordinance is continguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, uninhabited and lies in an unincorporated territory; and WHEREAS, said property was conveyed to the Village of Elk Grove Village, a municipal corporation of Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, by a Deed dated October 3, 1980, and registered with the Registrar of Titles of Cook County on January 5, 1981, as Document No. 3196627; and WHEREAS, legal notices regarding the intention of the Village of Elk Grove Village to annex the territory described in Section 2 have been sent to all public bodies required to receive such notice by state statute; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village of Elk Grove Village that the territory described in Section 2 be annexed thereto; and WHEREAS, an affidavit that service of the notices required by Chapter 24, paragraph 7-1-1, Illinois, Revised Statutes (1979) has been recorded in the office of the'Recorder of Deeds and Registrar of Titles, Cook County, Illinois. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That the recitals contained in the Preamble hereto are true and correct and incorporated herein by reference. Section 2: That the territory described on the attached Exhibit "A", which is indicated on an accurate map appended to and made a part of this Ordinance, be and is hereby annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, under the authority of Chapter 24, paragraph 7-1-9 of the Illinois Revised Statutes (1979). Section 3: That the territory annexed hereto be and is hereby zoned R-3, and shall be so reflected on the official zoning map of the Village of Elk Grove Village, and a special use permit is hereby granted to the Village to permit the construction, operation, and maintenance of a Well/Pimp House building and a reservoir. Section 4: That the Village Clerk be and is hereby directed to record with the Record of Deeds and Registrar of Titles of Cook County and to file with the County Clerk of Cook County and DuPage County a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of the territory annexed appended to said Ordinance, and further, to record a plat of annexation with the Recorder of Deeds and Registrar of Titles of Cook County. The Village Clerk is further directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance and map of the territory annexed with the Cook County Election Authority and United States Post Office covering the annexed territory. Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law. PART TAKEN: That part of the South half of Section 31, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian bounded and described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of Section 31 aforesaid; thence South 89 degrees 39 minutes 05 seconds East on the South line thereof 47.66 chains said point being 552.05 feet West of the Southeast corner of said South half; thence North 2 degrees 47 minutes 48 seconds West to the intersection with a line 80 feet North of and parallel with said South line; thence North 89 degrees 39 minutes 05 seconds West and parallel with said South line 46.73 feet; thence North 84 degrees 17 minutes 44 seconds West a distance of 674.08 feet for a place of beginning; thence continuing North 84 degrees 17 minutes 44 seconds West, 129.43 feet; thence West, parallel with said South line, 43.90 feet; thence North 9 degrees 00 minutes 42 seconds West, 231.70 feet; thence South 84 degrees, 17 minutes 44 seconds East, 232 feet; thence South 5 degrees, 42 minutes, 16 seconds West, 220 feet to the place of beginning, all in Cook County, Illinois.
