AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 15.006 TIME OF PAY`dENT-
LICENSE YEAR OF CHAPTER 15, VEHICLE LICENSES
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Sec. 15.0006, Time of Payment - License
Year be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following:
Any person who purchases a vehicle or who becomes
a resident of the Village during the last six
(6) months during a licensing year (nine (9)
months for the period commencing January 1,
1982 through May 31, 1983) or who submits a
sworn affidavit, properly notarized, stating
that the vehicle for which the license is being
sought, was not in use for the first six (6)
months of any licensing year (nine (9) months
for the period commencing January 1, 1982 through
May 31, 1983) and can substantiate said affidavit
to the satisfaction of the Village Clerk, may,
upon application being made to the Clerk, be
issued a license for the remainder of the license
period upon payment of one-half (11) of the fee
herein required.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
