AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 14.337A-1, 14.337A-2 AND 14.338
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AS IT
PERTAINS TO WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS FOR VEHICLES ON DIERKING TERRACE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois
as follows:
Section 1: That the present Sections 14.337A-1 and 14.337A-2 of
Chapter 14 be amended by renumbering said Sections to 14.337A-2 and
14.337A-3 respectively, and that a new Section 14.337A-1 be established
which shall read as follows:
14.337A-1 It shall be unlawful for any person to
operate a motor vehicle, except a
public passenger vehicle, in excess of
five (5) tons on Dierking Terrace.
Section 2: That Section 14.337A-3 of the Municipal Code be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
14.337A-3 Any person, firm or corporation violating
Sections 14.337A, 14.337A-1, or 14.337A-2
shall be subject to a fine of not less
than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars, nor
more than Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars
for each offense.
Section 3: That Section 14.338 of the Municipal Code be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
14.338 Limited Load Streets. Whenever the weight of
vehicles permitted on a street is limited by
ordinance and signs indicating such limitations
are posted, it shall be unlawful to operate a
vehicle in excess of such weight on such street,
except for the purpose of making a delivery or
picking up a load and where it is impossible from
the location of the building or the kind or char-
acter of the freight or goods to be received or
delivered, to receive or deliver the freight or
other goods or merchandise from a side -street, or
a street other than the streets regulated in 14.337A.
14.337A-1,or 14.337A-2 herein, in which case such
vehicles shall be permitted to enter such street at
the cross -street nearest said building or premises,
and receive or deliver such freight or other goods,
but shall not thereafter proceed further on such
street than the nearest cross -street.
Section 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
