ORDINANCE NO. 1409
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23.903, FIRE LANE DESIGNATION OF
ARTICLE IX, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE
VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Di Page, Illinois as
follows:
Section 1: That Section 23.903, paragraph P, of the Municipal Code of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, which Section provides for certain areas
located in the Village to be designated "fire Lanes", and making it unlawful
for any person to block or obstruct, wholly or partly any such designated
area, be amended to read as follows:
P. Roundtree Commons: All areas designated as
fire lanes on a map entitled Rountree Commons,
which map is incorporated by reference as part
of Ordinance No. 1409
Section 2: That the map entitled "Roundtree Commons" with designations
thereon listing fire lanes, which maps are attached hereto as Exhibits A,
B, and C, respectively, be and the same are hereby incorporated into this
Ordinance.
Section 3: That any person, firm or corporation violating any of the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than Five
($5.00) Dollars, nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars for each offense.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this
Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 5: That the owners of the Roundtree Commons are hereby authorized
to post all areas as fire lanes subject to the approval of the Chief of the
Fire Department of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
Section 6: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
