AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SHARING OF COSTS AND FUTURE
RECAPTURE OF COSTS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 16" WATERMAIN
ACROSS 1-290 IN THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has awarded a bid for the
construction of a 16" watermain across the 1-290 interstate in the Village
at a cost of $48,376.63; and
WHEREAS, said improvement will serve to benefit the general community
and certain properties, hereinafter designated, which are either within the
corporate limits of Elk Grove Village, soon to be annexed to the Village, or
which may annex to the Village in the future; and
WHEREAS, the Village has allocated a certain portion of the cost of
said improvement to the parties benefitted by same based on a formula
including percentage of total area as well as the anticipated benefit to
each party and the Village has assumed a certain portion of said costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois
as follows:
Section 1: That the equivalent construction costs for a 12" watermain
($42,197.03) across interstate 1-290 and engineering costs ($6,439.76)
to -wit $48,636.79 shall be allocated and shared as follows:

$48,636.79
That those parties presently within the corporate limits of Elk Grove
Village or soon to be annexed to -wit S & B Associates and Parkway Develop-
ment Company shall make their proportionate payment to the Village when
same is due to the contractor. The Village of Elk Grove Village shall pay
the remainder of the contract price with the allocated amounts for the
remaining parties to be subject to recapture when said properties are annexed
to the Village.
Section 2: That the Village of Elk Grove shall also assume the
costs difference between a 16 -inch and 12 -inch watermain which is
$6,179.60.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after is passage and approval according to law.
