AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4-A, POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND
SALARY PLAN. ARTICLES 4A.202, 4A.203 AND 4A.205, OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as
follows:
Section l: That the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village
Chapter 4A entitled ''Position Classification and Salary Plan'', Article 4A.202,
4A.2-3 and 4A.205 are hereby amended to read as follows:
4A.202 ANNUAL SALARY MIDPOINT FORMULAE:
Annual Salary Midpoint formulae are hereby established for all
clerical classes, for all labor/trade classes, for non-labor/trade
and non -clerical classes, up to 330 job content points, and for
classes evaluated above 330 job content points as follows:
Labor/trades 0 - 299 points VALUE PER POINT BASE VALUE
$44.90 Plus $1215.00
Non -Labor Trades & Non -Clerical
classes 0 - 330 points $62.30 Plus $ 7,237.00
Clerical Classes 0 - 299 Points $46.40 Plus $ 7,960.00
All Classes above 330 points $14.83 Plus $24,671.00
4A.203 MIDPOINT RATE:
The midpoint rate shall constitute the point of the Salary Range
around which salaries are determined, adjusted and administered.
To determine the Midpoint dollar rate of any Salary Range, the
total job content evaluation points for the respective class is
multiplied by the per point value, i.e. $44.90 and the base
value dollar amount, i.e. $12,415.00 is added to the total.
4A.205 MERIT SALARY ADJUSTMENTS:
The President and Board of Trustees shall annually determine and
establish the percent of salary increase to be available for various
levels of employee job performance. The specific salary increases
based on employee level of performance will be established annually
for all permanent full time and permanent part time employees.
Probationary employees who successfully complete their probationary
period will be eligible for merit increase according to the Merit
Schedule on a prorated basis. The Village Manager shall be res-
ponsible for administering performance evaluations and salary
adjustments.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of May
1, 1981, and upon its passage and approval according to law.
