AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6B, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS,
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois,
as follows:
Section l: That Chapter 613, Department of Public Works, be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
66.101 Department of Public Works. There is hereby created and
established a Department of the Municipal Government of
the Village of Elk Grove Village which shall be known as
the Department of Public Works. Said Department shall
consist of the Director of Public Works, the Assistant
Director of Public Works, the Foreman of Water, the
Foreman of Sewer, the Foreman of Streets, the Foreman
of Vehicle Maintenance, and the Foreman of Land and
Forestry and such other officers or employees as
designated by the Board of Trustees. The Department
of Public works shall be responsible for the maintenance,
operation and control of the Village water and sewer
systems, the public streets and right-of-way and the
maintenance of Village vehicles.
6B.102 There is hereby created the office of Director of
Public Works who shall be appointed by the Village
Manager and shall be under the direction and supervi-
sion of the Village Manager. The Director of Public
Works shall have the management and control of all
matters and things pertaining to said Department subject
to said control and supervision of the Village Manager.
6B.103 Thereis hereby created the office of Assistant Director
of Public Works who shall be appointed by the Village
Manager and shall be under the direction of the Director
of Public Works and shall have supervision over the
Foreman of Water, Foreman of Sewer, Foreman of Streets,
Foreman of Land and Forestry, and Foreman of Vehicle
"aintenance and shall perform all matters and duties as
may be required by the Director of Public Works.
68.104 Foreman of Water. The Foreman of Water shall be appointed
by the Village Manager and shall be under the supervision
of the Assistant Director of Public Works and shall
perform all duties as may be required by the Assistant
Director of Public Works.
6B.105 Foreman of Sewer. The Foreman of Sewer shall be
appointed by the Village Manager and shall be under the
supervision of the Assistant Director of Public Works
and shall perform all duties as may be required by the
Assistant Director of Public Works.
6B.106 Foreman of Streets. The Foreman of Streets shall be
appointed by the Village Manager and shall be under the
supervision of the Assistant Director of Public Works
and shall perform all duties as may be required by the
Assistant Director of Public Works.
66.107 Foreman of Vehicle Maintenance. The Foreman of Vehicle
Maintenance shall be appointed by the Village Manager
Director of Public Works and shall perform all duties
as may be required by the Assistant Director of Public
Works.
6B.108 Foreman of Land and Forestry. The Foreman of Land and
Forestry shall be appointed by the Village Manager and
shall be under the supervision of the Assistant Director
of Public Works and shall perform all duties as may be
required by the Assistant Director of Public Works.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
