AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24.018,
POSTING BILLS, AND SECTION 24.033,
PENALTIES, OF CHAPTER 24, OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois,
as follows:
Section 1: That Section 24.018, Posting Bills, of the Municipal
Code, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
24.018. Posting Bills, Advertisements or Signs.
It shall be unlawful to post or cause the placement
or posting of any bill, advertisement or sign on any public
property including but not limited to utility poles, parkways,
municipal buildings, streets, or sidewalks without the
authority and approval of the President and Board of
Trustees or their designated agent. It shall be further
unlawful to post any bill, advertisement or sign on any
private property without the consent of the owner thereof,
or in violation of Chapter 12, Signs and Awnings, of this
Municipal Code.
Section 2: That Section 24.033, Penalty, of Chapter 24, be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
24.033. Penalty.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any provisions
of this Chapter in which a separate penalty is not provided
shall be subject to a fine of not less than Ten ($10.00)
Dollars, nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars for
each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed
on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
Section 3: That any person, firm or corporation violating any
provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less
than Ten ($10.00) Dollars, nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars
for each offense.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
