AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 5, PARKING RULES,
OF CHAPTER 14, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, THEREBY
PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF MOTORIZED VEHICLES,
TOW -TYPE VEHICLES, BOATS OR SIMILAR DEVICES ON AN
AREA WITHIN THE FRONT 25' LOT LINE WHICH IS
NOT A HARD SURFACE DRIVEWAY
BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois,
as follows:
Section 1: That Section 14.501, No Parking Places, of
Article 5, Parking Rules, of Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code of
Elk Grove Village, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto
a new paragraph, which shall read as follows:
14. In residential zoning districts, no motorized
vehicles, tow -type vehicles, boats or similar devices,
shall be parked or stored in a required front yard
within 25' of a lot line adjacent to a street, except
on a hard surface driveway, approved by the Building
Commissioner.
Section 2: Any person violating any of the provisions of
this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less Five ($5.00)
Dollars, nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars for each offense.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according
to law.
