ORDINANCE NO. 1352
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SUBDIVISION
CONTROL ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE PER-
TAINING TO THE INSTALLATION OF SIDEWALKS
PERTAINING TO THAT AREA ON THE WEST SIDE
OF MEACHAM ROAD IN THE SECTION 24 FLOOD
PRESERVE AREA.
WHEREAS, the Centex Corporation has petitioned the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village for a variation from the Village's Subdivision
Control Ordinance as it relates to the installation of side-
walks thereby requesting that the installation of sidewalks
be waived on the West side of Meacham Road in the Section 24
Flood Preserve Area until such time as Meacham Road is widened;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village after having considered the
recommendation of the Planning Commission find and believe
it to be in the best interest of the Village that said varia-
tion be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DUPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of the
Subdivision Control Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove
Village to the Centex Corporation, thereby waiving the installa-
tion of sidewalks on the West side of Meacham Road in the
Section 24 Flood Reserve Area until such time as Meacham Road is
widened; provided that the Centex Corporation provide the
Village with an amount of money equal to the actual cost of
said installation or such other security acceptable to the
Village.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
