AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4.107, DUTIES OF THE VILLAGE
PROSECUTOR, AND REPEALING ARTICLE II, BUILDING INSPECTOR;
ARTICLE III, HEALTH INSPECTOR; ARTICLE VI, ELECTRICAL IN-
SPECTOR; ARTICLE VII, VILLAGE HISTORIAN; AND ARTICLE VIII,
VILLAGE PHOTOGRAPHER, OF CHAPTER FOUR OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DUPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 4.107, of the Municipal Code of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Duties of the Village Pro-
secutor, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
It shall be the duty of the Village Prosecutor
to assist the Village Attorney by attending all
proceedings before the presiding judge of the
district court that involve prosecution for viola-
tion of a Village ordinance or State Statute
wherein the Village is authorized to prosecute
and to prosecute such cases on behalf of the
Village. He shall advise and assist all Village
officers or employees on questions of law
involved in filing complaints, making arrests
and preparing for prosecution for ordinance viola-
tions. He shall also represent the Village in
all appeals from decisions rendered by the
presiding judge of the district court in cases
involving a prosecution for violation of an ordi-
nance or Statute.
Section 2: That Article II, Building Inspector; Article
III, Health Inspector; Article VI, Electrical Inspector; Article
VII, Village Historian; and Article VIII, Village Photographer;
of Chapter 4 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove
Village of the Municipal Code are hereby repealed.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
