TESTING MLPERS AND SECTION 22A.1002
INSPECTIONS - MANHOLES OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
BE IT ORDAINS), by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 22A.304, Testing Meters, be
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
22A.304 Testing -Meters. Any municipal water meters
shall be taken out and tested upon complaint
or request of the consumer. The consumer
shall agree, in writing, at the time that the
meter is removed to pay for such testing
if the meter proves to be within three (3%)
percent of being accurate, such fee as determined
by Resolution of the President and Board of
Trustees. Any such fee, if not timely paid,
shall be added to the consumer's regular
water billing and collected in the mtLnner pro-
vided in Article VII hereof. If upon the test-
ing,the meter is not within three (3%) percent
of being accurate, it shall be repaired and
replaced at no expense to the consumer.
Section 2: That paragraph b. of Section 22A.1002, Inspections -
Manholes, be and the same is hereby amended by deleting there-
from in the third and fourth lines thereof, the following: "After
first giving ten (10) days advance notice of its intention so to
do."
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval at:cording to law.
