AN ORDINANCE CONSENTING TO THE ADDITION OF THE VILLAGE OF HANOVER
PARK TO THE NORTHWEST SUBURBAN WATER SYSTEM
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois, as follows:
Section 1. it is found and declared by the President and Board of Trustees
(the "Board") of the Village of Elk Grove Village (the "Village") as follows:
A. The Village is a member of the Northwest Suburban Water System
Venture (the "Venture"), which Venture was established and is governed by the
Northwest Suburban Water System Agreement.
B. The Agreement provides for additional municipalities to become
a member of the Venture.
C. The Village of Hanover Park has executed the Agreement and agreed
to the conditions established for membership by the Board of Directors of the
Venture.
D. It is in the best interests of the Venture and of the Village
that the Village of Hanover Park become members of the Venture.
E. Section 3(a) of the Agreementprovides that all the then munici-
palities in the Venture must consent to any new member and that such consent be
authorized by ordinance adopted by the corporate authorities of the member
municipalities.
F. The Village desires to consent to the membership of the Village
of Hanover Park.
Section 2. The Village consents to the Village of Hanover Park becoming
a member of the Northwest Suburban Water System Venture and authorizes and directs
its President to execute on its behalf the Consent to the Village of Hanover Park
joining the Northwest Suburban Water System Venture.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective as of its approval by the
President and Board of Trustees of the Village.
