AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 7
PLAN COMMISSION OF CHAPTER 7
BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS PROVIDING
FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF THE CHAIRMAN
BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DUPage, Illinois as
follows:
Section 1: That Section 7.702 Membership of Article 7 Plan
Commission of Chapter 7 Boards and Commissions be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
The Plan Commission shall consist of '7 members who shall be
appointed by the Village President by and with the consent of
the Board of Trustees and who shall be residents of the Village.
One of the 7 members shall be appointed by the Village President
by and with the consent of the Board of Trustees as Chairman.
Section 2: That Section 7.704 Procedure of the Municipal Code
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
7.7.04 Procedure. Immediately following their appointment, the
members of the Plan Commission shall meet, organize, and elect officers
as it may deem necessary (with the exception of the Chairman
as provided in 7.702 herein), and adopt and later change or
alter, rules and regulations of organization and procedure
consistent with Village Ordinances and State laws. The
Commission shall keep written records of its proceedings, which
shall be open at all times to public inspection. The Commission
shall also file an annual report with the President and Board
of Trustees setting forth its transactions and recommendations.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
