AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV,
WATER RATES OF CHAPTER 22A, WATER
AND SEWER BY DELETING THEREFROM
THE ANNUAL CHARGE FOR UNMETERED
WATER SERVICE FOR PRIVATE FIRE
PROTECTION SERVICE
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois
as follows:
Section 1: That Section 22A.404 of the Municipal Code of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, which section sets forth an
annual charge for water service available for private fire protection
service, be and the same is hereby repealed in the manner as is
set forth in Section 2 of this Ordinance.
Section 2: This Ordinance shall be effective for all users
of water service for private fire protection service as of
September 1, 1979, and as of said date no further bills will be
issued to such users. Annual charges received prior to September
1, 1979, shall be deemed to be valid and no annual charges due and
payable prior to September 1, 1979, shall be refunded.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
