AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15.002, VEHICLE LICENSES,
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 15.002, Licenses of Chapter 15,
Vehicle Licenses, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Every owner and operator of a motor vehicle or motor bicycle
who resides within the Village and every owner or operator of
a motor vehicle or motor bicycle registered to a business
within the Village shall pay each year to the Clerk a tax or
license fee for the use of each motor vehicle or motor
bicycle used on any public street within the Village, as is
hereinafter provided.
Every resident or business upon moving into the Village shall
be required to purchase a Village vehicle license, excepting
therefrom residents establishing residency after October 1st
and who have a valid vehicle license from another community
expiring not later than December 31st.
Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation who violates any of
the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to such fine as is
set forth in Section 15.009 of the Municipal Code of the Village of
Elk Grove Village.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according
to law.
