AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 18.4003 AND 18.4004 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AS
THEY RELATE TO SCAVENGER SERVICE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 18.4003, Application, be and the same
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"An application for a license under this Article shall be made
on forms provided by the Village Clerk and shall be in com-
formity with the general requirements of this Code relating
to applications for licenses.
One license shall be issued for scavenger service for the
entire Village, for all single family detached residences,
commercial and industrial zoned districts; all other licenses
issued shall be for Scavenger service in the industrial,
commercial, single family attached, and multi -family zoned
areas of the Village. The character of the license shall be
designated on the application and on the licensing document
itself. Said license shall create no vested interest in the
licensee and may be issued, or renewed or revoked at the
discretion of the President and Board of Trustees at the end
of any licensing period, with or without cause.
All applications shall be accompanied by a Surety Bond in the
amount of $1,000 guaranteeing adherence by the applicant to
all Village ordinances and regulations, said bond to be approved
by the Village Attorney.
Section 2: That Section 18.4004, Regulations, be and the same
is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
E. Garbage shall not be collected by any scavenger service
before the hour of 7:00 a.m. in a residential area or
any area abutting a residential area.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
