AN ORDINANCE CONSENTING TO THE VILLAGE OF ARLINGTON HEIGHTS BECOMING
AN ADDITIONAL MEMBER OF THE NORTHWEST SUBURBAN WATER SYSTEM VENTURE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. It is found and declared as follows:
(a) the Village has by previous Ordinance determined to participate in and
has become a member of the Northwest Suburban Water System Venture (the "Venture"),
established and governed by the Northwest Suburban Water System Agreement (the
"Agreement"); (b) the Agreement allows additional municipalities to join the
Venture as new members by adopting an ordinance authorizing their execution of
the Agreement but only upon the approval of the Venture's Board of Directors and
upon the unanimous consent by ordinance of all of the then members of the Venture;
(c) the Village of Arlington Heights now desires to become a member of the Venture;
and the Venture's Board of Directors has approved the Village becoming such a
new member of the Venture; and (d) it is in the best interests of the Village and
the Venture that the Village of Arlington Heights be allowed to become a new member.
Section 2. The execution of the Agreement by the Village of Arlington Heights
and its becoming a member of the Venture are consented to and approved.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
