AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY
WITHIN THE VILLAGE FROM B-2, GENERAL
BUSINESS DISTRICT, TO I-1, RESTRICTED
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (NORTHERN HOME
FURNISHINGS COMPANY)
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, acting as a zoning commission, at a public meeting duly called
and held according to law, considered the question of rezoning certain
property located on Brummel Avenue 209.33 feet west of Busse Road, and
legally described hereinafter, from the B-2, General Business District,
to the I-1, Restricted Industrial District, on petition of Howard Galler
on behalf of the Northern Home Furnishings Company; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation of
said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best interests
of the Village that said property be rezoned to the I-1, Restricted
Industrial District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That the following property consisting of 1.19
acres and located 209.33 feet west of Busse Road, Elk Grove Village,
Illinois, be and the same is hereby rezoned from the B-2, General
Business District, to the I-1, Restricted Industrial District:
The West 225.79 feet of Lot 154 in Higgins
Industrial Park Unit 107, being a Subdivision
in the Northeast Quarter of Section 27,
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County,
Illinois
Section 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to
amend the Zoning Map of the Village to reflect the above change.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to
law.
