AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE 6,
SWIMMING POOLS, OF CHAPTER 23, OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE
OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has adopted by
ordinance the BOCA Basic Code, 1975 Edition, as the Building
Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, said basic building code provides for the regulation
and control of the construction, installation and maintenance of
swimming pools rendering the regulation as presently contained in
Article 6 of Chapter 23 unnecessary and superflous;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Article 6, Swimming Pools, of Chapter 23,
Miscellaneous Regulations, be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and its passage, approval and publication according to law.
