HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 1186 - 10/25/1977 - REZONING/VALUE RUG MART, INC.ORDINANCE NO. 1186 AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE VILLAGE FROM I-2, GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, TO B-2, BUSINESS DISTRICT (VALUE RUG MART, INC.) WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, acting as a zoning commission, conducted a public hearing, duly called and held according to law, to consider the auestion of rezoning certain property legally described hereinafter from I-2 to B-2; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation of said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best interests of the Village that such rezoning be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois: Section 1: That the following property be and the same is hereby rezoned from I-2, General Industrial District, to B-2 Business District: PARCEL NO. 1: The South 260.25 feet (as measured on the East line) of Lot 1 and that part of Lot 4, described as follows: Beginning at a point 85.79 feet Northwesterly of the most Northeasterly corner of Lot 4; thence Southwesterly to a point on the Northeasterly line of Lot 3 extended Northwesterly, said point being 114.55 feet Northwesterly of the Southeasterly line of said Lot 4; thence Southeasterly 114.55 feet to the Southeasterly line of said Lot 4, (being the Northwest corner of Lot 3); thence Northeasterly 190.0 feet to the North- easterly corner of said Lot 4; thence Northwesterly 85.79 feet to the point of beginning, in Higgins Resubdivision of part of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 26, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian; together with Lots 1 thru 11, both inclusive and Lots 16 thru 34, both inclusive, together with vacated streets and alleys abutting and adjacent to said Lots in Steele's Higgins and Touhy Highlands, being a Subdivision in the East 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 26, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian; And PARCEL NO. 2: Lot "A" in Porsche Audi at O'Hare, Inc., being a Subdivision of part of Lot 1 in Higgins Resubdivision and part of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 26, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, all in Cook County, Illinois, subject to the condition that the property will be permitted to use the southwest quadrant of the existing structure and southwest parking area for storage and general warehousing and repairs of construction equipment for a period of three (3) years from the adoption date of this Ordinance, at which time the right of said usage shall be deemed terminated and the property subject to all of the provisions, regulations and restrictions of the B-2 Business District. Section 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to amend the Zoning Map of the Village to reflect the above rezoning. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law. VOTES: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 ATTEST: Eleanor G.
