AN ORDINANCE RESCINDING SECTION
14.206, ONE-WAY.STREETS OR ALLEYS,
AND ADDING A NEW SECTION 14.311(C),
RIGHT TURN ONLY, OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE
VILLAGE
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, Illinois:
Section 1: That Section 14.206, which provides for one-way streets
and alleys, be and the same is hereby rescinded.
Section 2: That Chapter 14, Article 3, Rules for Driving, be
and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section, which
shall read as follows:
14.311(C). Right Turn Only.
The operator of any motor vehicle approaching any of
the intersections listed below shall be required to make a
right-hand turn at said intersection:
(a). Vehicles travelling eastbound on Touhy
Avenue at its intersection with Route
83; and
(b). Vehicles travelling westbound on Touhy
Avenue at its intersection with Route
83.
Section 3: That the Chief of Police or any person designated by
him shall post or cause to be posted appropriate signs according to the
provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 4: That any person, firm or corporation violating any of
the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less
Five ($5.00) Dollars, nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars for
each offense.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
