AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE
PERMIT TO THE CHICAGO TITLE AND TRUST
COMPANY AS TRUSTEE UNDER TRUST NO.
64465, AND GREYHOUND LINES, INC., TO
PERMIT A GREYHOUND SUBURBAN PACKAGE
EXPRESS AND PASSENGER STATION AT THE
PARK & SHOP SHOPPING CENTER
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, acting as a Zoning Commission, at a public meeting duly
called and held according to law, considered the question of
granting a special use permit for a package express and passenger
suburban bus station on property legally described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation
of said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best
interests of the Village that such special use permit be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and Du Page, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a special use permit to
Chicago Title and Trust Company, as Trustee, under Trust No. 64465,
and Greyhound Lines, Inc., to operate a Greyhound suburban bus
station at property located at the Park & Shop Shopping Center
Arcade, and legally described as follows:
Lot 2 in Schnell's Division, being a Subdivision in
Section 21, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the
Third Principal Meridian, together with Lot 1 in Elk
Grove Village Section 1 North, being a Subdivision in
the Southeast Quarter of Section 21, aforesaid, both
taken as a tract (excepting from said tract that part
thereof lying Westerly of a line drawn parallel with
and 199.02 feet Easterly, as measured at right angles
of the Westerly line and said Westerly line extended
Southerly of said Lot 2 in Schnell's Division and
lying Northerly of a line drawn parallel with and
149.04 feet Southerly, as measured at right angles,
of the most Northerly line of said Lot 1 in Elk Grove
Village Section 1 North Subdivision, aforesaid, extended
Westerly and excepting also that part of Lot 1 lying
Southerly of a line drawn from a point in the most East-
erly line of said Lot 1, 241.29 feet Northerly, as
measured along said Easterly line, of the Southeasterly
corner of said Lot 1, to a point in the most Westerly
line of said Lot 1, 191.54 feet Northerly of the South-
westerly corner of said Lot 1) all in Cook County,
Illinois,
subject to the following conditions:
1). That parking be prohibited at all times in the
service area located behind the Park & Shop Shopping Center
Arcade; and
2). That traffic in the service area behind the Park &
Shop Shopping Center Arcade be restricted to one-way traffic, in a
southerly direction, and that the owner be required to post
appropriate signs.
Section 2: That ordinance No. 1128, which Ordinance previously
granted a special use permit to Greyhound Lines, Inc. at a different
location, be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
