AN ORDINANCE CALLING FOR A REGULAR ELECTION OF OFFICERS OF THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE. ON TUESDAY. APRIL 19. 1977
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois.
Section 1. That there shall be a regular election of officers of the
Village of Elk Grove Village on Tuesday, April 19, 1977.
Section 2. That at said election there shall be elected:
A Village President, for a four year term.
A Village Clerk, for a four year term.
3 Village Trustees, each for a four year term.
2 library Directors, each for a six year term.
1 Library Director, for a two year term.
Section 3. That the ballots to be used in said election shall be in toe
form prescribed by statue, and it shall be the duty of the Village Clerk to
see to the preparation of sufficient ballots for the election and to cause
samples of said ballots to be published prior to the day of the election in
the Elk Grove Herald, a newspaper of general circulation published in said
Village, and to cause to be provided the necessary election supplies.
Section 4. That at least fifteen days but not more than thirty days prior
to the election, the Village Clerk shall cause to be published in the Elk
Grove Herald a notice of election which shall be substantially as follows:

Section 5. That the precinct or voting districts for said election and
the polling places shall be those designated in the preceding section.
Section 6. That the Judges of Election shall be appointed by the President
with the approval of the Board of Trustees in the manner provided by law.
Section 7. That said election and matters pertaining thereto shall be
conducted in the manner prescribed by the Statutes of the State of Illinois.
Section 8. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and apporval according to law.

NOTICE OF ELECTION
On the 19th day of April, 1977, there will be held a regular election of the
Village of Elk Grove Village to elect a Village President for a four year term;
a Village Clerk for a four year term; three Village Trustees, each for a four
year term; two Library Directors, each for a six year term, and one Library
Director for a two year term.
The polls shall be open between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on said date
of election.
The precincts and polling places for such election shall be as follows:
ELECTION PRECINCT NUMBER 1
All that area in the Village of Elk Grove Village, lying north of the center
line of Oakton Street and east of Arlington Heights.Road. Polling Place, the
Arcade at the Park and Shop Shopping Center, Higgins and Arlington Heights Road,
Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
ELECTION PRECINCT NUMBER 2
All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying south of the center line
of Oakton Street and east of a line decribed as follows: Commencing at the
center line of Oakton Street and Arlington Heights Road, proceeding along the
center line of Arlington Heights Road southwesterly to the center line of
Landmeier Road; thence proceeding eastwardly along the center line of Landmeier
Road to the center line of Tonne Road; thence proceeding southwardly along the
center line of Tonne Road to the center line of Devon Avenue, and all that part
of the Village lying south of the center line of Devon Avenue and north of the
center line of Devon Avenue, and south of the center line of Oaktcrt Street.
Polling Place, Ira L. Rupley School, 305 Oakton Street, Village of Ell; Grove
Village, Illinois.

All that part of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying within an area defined
by a line which commences at a point at the intersection of the center line of
Arlington Heights Road and Salt Creek, thence northeasterly along the center line
of Arlington Heights Road to its intersection with the center line of Landmeier
Road, thence eastwardiy along the center line of Landmeier Road to the center
line of Tonne Road, thence southwardly along the center line of Tonne Road to the
center line of Elk Grove Boulevard, thence westwardly along the center line of
Elk Grove Boulevard to the center line of Ridge Avenue, thence southwardly along
the center line of Ridge Avenue to the north line of Brookhaven Drive, thence
westwardly along the line of Brookhaven Drive to Cypress Lane and continuing
along the north extension of Brookhaven Drive to Salt Creek, thence northwardly
along Salt Creek to the place of beginning; said precinct to also include
that property on the north side of Arlington Heights Road commonly known as
450 S. Arlington Heights Road. Polling place, Ridge Elementary School,
650 Ridge Avenue, Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying within an area defined
by a line which commences at a point at the intersection of the center lines of

Elk Grove Boulevard and Ridge Avenue, thence eastwardly along the center line of
Elk Grove Boulevard to the center line of Tonne Road, thence southwardly along
the center line of Tonne Road to the center line of Clearmont Drive, thence
westwardly along the center line of Clearmont Drive to the Center line of Maple
Lane, thence southwardly along the center line of Maple Lane to the center line
of Pinewood Drive, thence westwardly along the center line of Pinewood Drive to
the center line of Aspen Lane, thence northwardly along the center line of Aspen
Lane to the center line of Clearmont Drive, thence westerly along the center line
of Clearmont Drive to the center line of Ridge Avenue, thence northwardly along
the center line of Ridge Avenue to the center line of Elk Grove Boulevard (the
place of beginning). Polling place, Grant Wood Elementary School, 225 E.
Elk Grove Boulevard, Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

All that area of the Village of Elk Grove Village lying within an area defined
by a line commencing at Salt Creek and the north line of Brookhaven Drive as
extended, thence continuing eastwardly along the north line of Brookhaven Drive
to the center line of Ridge Avenue, thence southwardly along the center line of
Ridge Avenue to the center line of Clearm1ont Drive, thence eastwardly along the
center line of Clearmont Drive to the center line of Aspen Lane, thence south-
wardly along the center line of Aspen Lane to the center line of Pinewood Drive,
thence eastwardly along the center line of Pinewood Drive to the center line of
Maple Lane, thence northwardly along the center line of Maple Lane to the center
line of Clearmont Drive, thence eastwardly along the center line of Clearmont
Drive to the center line of Tonne Road, thence southwardly along the center line
of Tonne Road to Devon Avenue, thence westwardly along the Elk Grove Village
limits to Salt Creek, thence northwardly along Salt Creek to the point of
beginning. Polling place, Clearmont Elementary School, 280 Clearmont Drive,

east of Arlington Heights Road. Polling Place, Salt Creek Elementary School,
65 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Road, east of Bisner Road, as extended, south of Biesterfield Road, and north of

All that area west of Route 53 (Rohlwing Road), south of Nerge Road, north of
Devon Avenue and east of Meacham Road. Polling place, Adlai E. Stevenson
School, 1414 Armstrong Lane, Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
