AN ORDINANCE At1ENOING CHAPTER 18, ARTICLE XLII-TAXICABS, SECTION 18.4213 -
RATES OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE _
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois as follows:
Section 1. That Section 18.4213 - Rates of Article XLII, Taxicabs of
Chapter 18, Licenses and Permits be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Section 18.4213 - Rates. The charge for taxicab service shall not
exceed 55C for the first 2/5th miles or portion thereof, and 10C for each
succeeding 1/701 mile or fraction thereof, providing that if more than
one passenger is carried on a trip there may be an additional charge of
10G for each additional passenger; 10t for each 1-1/2 minutes of waiting
time, 25C for parcel delivery other than for normal luggage carried; the
hourly rate shall not be more than $3.00 per hour.
Section 2. Any person firm or corporation who shall violate any of the
provisions of this article shall be fined not less than $10.00 nor more than
$500.00 for each and every offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed
committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
