AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE LI,
ENFORCEMENT PROVISIONS, OF CHAPTER
18, LICENSES AND PERMITS, OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF TILE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 18.5101, Penalties, of Article LI,
of Chapter 18, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
18.5101. Penalties.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation
to engage in the business of a commercial establishment,
business and/or commercial enterprise or activity as herein
enumerated, as otherwise provided herein without first having
obtained a license therefor.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the
provisions of this Chapter shall be subject to a fine of
not less than $25.00 nor more than $500.00 for each offense;
and, a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each
day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating any of
the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less
than $25.00 nor more than $500.00.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
