AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE
PERMIT TO HARRIS TRUST AND SAVINGS
BANK, AS TRUSTEE, UNDER TRUST NO.
37220 (SAMBO'S), TO CONSTRUCT A
RESTAURANT ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT
THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF BUSSE ROAD
(ROUTE 83) AND PRATT BOULEVARD IN
ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
acting as a zoning commission at a public hearing duly called and
held according to law, considered the question of granting a special
use permit to the Harris Trust and Savings Bank, as Trustee, under
Trust No. 37220, in order to construct a restaurant in an industrial
zoned district; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation of said
Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best interest of the
Village that such special use permit be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a special use permit to the
Harris Trust and Savings Bank, as Trustee, under Trust No. 37220
(Sambo's), to permit the construction of a restaurant on property
located at the southeast corner of Busse Road (Route 83) and Pratt
Boulevard and legally described as follows:
The North 198 feet of the West 250 feet of the
West 405.00 feet of Lot 3 in Centex Industrial
Park being a subdivision in Section 35 Township
41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian (Excepting therefrom that part thereof
described as follows: Beginning at the North
West corner of Lot 3: Thence East along the North
line of said Lot 3, a distance of 505.0 feet to a
point: thence Southwesterly along a straight line
a distance of 100.49 feet, to a point, said
point being normally distant 10.0 feet South of
the North line of said Lot 3: thence West
along a straight line parallel with and distant
10.0 feet South of the North line of said Lot 3,
a distance of: 275.0 feet, to a point: thence
Southwesterly along a straight line, a distance
of 130.38 feet to a point in the West line of
said Lot 3, said point being 20 feet South of
the Northwest corner of said Lot 3; thence
North along the West line of said Lot 3, a
distance of 20.0 feet to the point of beginning)
in Cook County, Illinois,
subject to the following conuitions;
(A). That the building be constructed within the
fire limit requirements of the Building Code; and
(B). That the building be built in conformance
to the site plan as submitted to the Plan Commission.
Section 2: That the property benefitting from the special use
granted herein shall, in addition to the conditions contained above,
be subject to all applicable provisions of the Elk Grove Zoning
Ordinance and the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
Section 3: Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provision of this Ordiance shall be subject to a fine of not less

than Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00) and each day a violation exists or continues shall be
deemed a separate offense hereunder.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
