AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND PROVIDING FOR WEIGHT LIMITS
ON OAKTON STREET AND ON LANDMEIER ROAD
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
Chapter 14, Section 14.337A, paragraph d, be amended to read as follows:
d. Higgins Road, Arlington Heights Road (also known as State Road),
Biesterfield Road, Devon Avenue and Rohlwing Road.
Section 2. That the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village
Chapter 14, Section 14.337A-1 be amended to read as follows:
14.337A-1 It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a motor
vehicle, except a public passenger or common carrier in
excess of twelve (12) tons on Oakton Street from Arlington
Heights Road to Kent Avenue and on Landmeier Road from
Arlington Heights Road to Tonne Road.
Section 3: That the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village
Chapter 14, be amended by adding thereto Section 14.337A-2 to read as follows:
14.337A-2 Any person, firm or corporation violating Section 14.337A or
14.337A-1 shall be fined in accordance with the Illinois
Vehicle Code, Chapter 952, Section 15-113 as follows:
In excess of 1,000 to 2,000# @ 2�
2,001 to 3,000# @ 4t
3,001 to -4,000# @ 6G
4,001 to 5,000# la) 8C
5,001# and up @ 10G
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval and publication, according to law.
