AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH 7 OF SECTION 24.001,
GAMBLING, OF CHAPTER 24 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Presidenc. and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Paragraph 7 of Section 24.001, Gambling, of
Chapter 24 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
(7) Sets up or promotes any lottery,
or sells, offers to sell or
transfers any ticket or share
for any lottery, with the excep-
tion of the lottery lawfully
operated by the State of Illinois
and its authorized agents; or
Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation who violates
the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of
up to $500..00 for each offense.
Section 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to
law
