AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO
THE PRINCE OF PEACE MET110DIST CHURCH IN ORDER
TO CONDUCT A NON-PROFIT PRE-SCHOOL ON PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 1400 SOUTH ARLINGTON IIEIGHTS ROAD.
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, acting as a Zoning Commission, conducted a public hearing
to consider the question of granting a special use permit to the
Prince of Peace Methodist Church for the purpose of conducting
a non-profit pre-school under the sponsorship of Britannica
Learning Center Pre -School at said church; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustess of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, Having considered the recommendation of
said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best
interest of the Village that such special use be granted.
NOW, THEREPOI-d, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Vi-llage, Counties of
Cools and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That a Special Use Permit be granted to tine
Prince of Peace Methodist Church in accordance with Section 5.25
of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village
(Ordinance No, 842) to perrli.t a pre-school under the Sponsorship
of Dri.tannica Learning Center Pre --School on property legally
described a- follows:
The West 562.0 feet of the East 607.02 Feet, both as
measured along the South line of the north 436.0 feet
of the South 486.02 feet, both as measurccl along the
East line o.1 the G'outhwest gt;art:cr of the Southeast

Section 2: That this special use permit shall continue
in existence until the termination of the lease agreement between
the Prince of Peace Methodist Church and Britannica Learning
Center Pre -School.
Section 3: That no person, firm or corporation shall
violate any of the provisions of this ordinance and said person,
firm or corporation shall be subject to a fine or not less than
$5.00 nor more than $200.00 for each offense and each day a
violation is pormitted to exist shall constitute a separate and
distinct offense.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
