AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village
Clerk of Elk Grove Village by Cosmopolitan National Bank of Chicago,
signed by Charles G. Frisbie, being the sole record owner of the
hereinafter described land and territory for annexation to the
Village of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Elk
Grove Village; and has no electors residing thereon; and
WHEREAS, all applicable provisions of Article VII of Chapter 24
of the Illino s Revised Statutes (1973) concerning the annexation of
contiguous property by municipalities, have been complied with and
adhered to; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, have
examined said petition and believe it to be in the best interests
of the Village that said land and territory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois
as follows:
Section 1: That the land and territory shown and legally described
in the Plat of Annexation attached hereto as Exhibit A, and incorporated
and made a part of this ordinance, which territory is contiguous to
the Village of Elk Grove Village, and is not within the limits of any
municipality, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Elk
Grove Village, so that hereafter said territory shall be included within
the boundary linas and limits of said Village, as is by law in such case
made and provided.
Section 2: That said property, as annexed is, pursuant to the
terms and provisions of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 842
and the Village of Elk Grove Village Official Map adopted by Ordinance
No. 570 on October 22, 1968, hereby included in the 1-1 Zoning District.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove
Village is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance
together with an accurage plat of said territory with the recorder of
Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law.

The North 435.25 feet (as measured along the East line of a 200
foot strip of land conveyed to the County of Cook by Deed recorded
January 12, 1939 as Document Number 12259408) of that part lying
Southwesterly of the Easterly line of Higgins Road, as monumented,
and East of the East line of said 200 foot strip of land, of the
West half of the Northwest quarter of Section 26, Township 41 North,
Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying South of a
line drawn at right angles to said East line of said 200 foot strip
thru a point on said East line 602.31 feet South, as measured along
said East line, of the North line of said Section 20, in Cook County,
Illinois.
