AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING APPROXIMATELY 4.38 ACRES
(LANDMEIER PROPERTY) TO THE VILLAGE OF ELK
GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village
Clerk of Elk Grove Village signed by Wesley and Lucille Landmeier
being the sole record owners and R. Hansen, William Newbrugh
and Mrs. William Newbrugh being the sole electors residing on the
hereinafter described property for annexation to the Village of
Elk Grove, and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of
Elk Grove Village, and
WHEREAS, all applicable provisions of Article 7, Chapter 24
of the Illinois Revised Statutes 1973 concerning the annexation of
contiguous property by municipalities have been complied with and
adhered to, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois have
examined said petition and believe it to be in the best interests
of the Village that said land and territory be annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That the land and territory shown and legally
described on Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein
and made a part of this ordinance, which territory is contiguous
to the Village of Elk Grove Village, and is not within the limits
of any municipality, be and the same is hereby annexed to the
Village of Elk Grove Village, so that hereafter said territory
dzall be included, within the boundary lines and limits of said
Village, as is by law in such case made and provided.
Section 2: That said property as annexed is, pursuant to
the terms and provisions of the Elk Grove Village Zoning
Ordinance No. 842 and the Village of Elk Grove Village's Official
Map adopted by Ordinance No. 570 on October 22, 1968, hereby
included in the I-1 Zoning District.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village of
Elk Grove Village is hereby directed to record a certified copy
of this ordinance together with an accurate plat of annexation
of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County,
Illinois.
Sectinn 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
