AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23.903 (LANE DESIGNATION)
OF AP,TICLE IX (FIRE LANES) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
VILLAGC OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Elk Grove Office Plaza, owned by O'Hare Center, Inc.,
by its agent, Y.G. Landreth has requested in writing that certain areas
be designated as fire lanes; a copy of which request,being attached hereto
and incorporated herein as Exhibit A of this Ordinance, and
1,'HERFAS, it is further requested by said Plaza that the Elk Grove
Police Department be qranted the authority to enforce any ordinance pro-
hibiting parking on said designated fire lanes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 23.903 of the Municipal Code of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, which provides for certain areas located in the
Village to be designated "Fire Lanes", and making it unlawful for any person
to block or obstruct wholly or partly any such designated area, be amended
by adding thereto the following:
J. Elk Grove Office Plaza
All areas designated as Fire Lanes on a map entitled,
Elk Grove Office Plaza which map is incorporated by
reference as a part of Ordinance No. 935
Section 2: That a map entitled, " ELK GROVE OFFICE PLAZA" with red
markings indication those areas designated as fire lanes (Exhibit B, attached
hereto) be and the same is hereby incorporated into this ordinance.
Section 3: Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of
this ordinance shall be fined not less than Five ($5.00) Dollars, nor more
than Two Hundred ($200.00) for each offense.
Section 4-. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
en.: after its passage approval and publication according to law.
Section 5: That the Villag Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this
ordinance in pamphlet form and the Village Manager is directed to post all
areas designated as fire lanes hereby with appropriate signs.

Dear Mr. Willis:
Enclosed is a plot plan for the Elk Grove Office Plaza.
I would like to request that the east drive be reserved for
a fire lane with a posted no parking zone enforced by the Elk
Grove Village Police Department.

request, please let me know.
