AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED
BY THE AMOCO OIL COMPANY TO THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, a written petition requesting annexation has
been filed with the Village of Elk Grove Village by the Amoco
Oil Company; and
WIEREAS, an annexation agreement dated December 28, 1971 by
and between the Vill-age of Elk Grove Village and the Amoco Oil Company
was entered into providing for the annexation of the hereinafter
described property, in accordance with the terms of said agreement,
and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Elk
Grove Village, and has no electors residing thereon; and
WHEREAS, Elk Grove Rural Fire Protection District has been
notified in accordance with the applicable State statutes provided
therefor, of the Village's intent to annex said property and that
no objection has been made to the actions of the Village and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, have examined and executed the said agreement
and believe it to be in the best interests of the Village that said
land and territory be annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties,
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the land and territory shown and legally
described in the Plat of Annexation and attached as Exhibit A,
which Exhibit is incorporated herein by reference and made a part
of this ordinance, which land is contiguous to the Village and not
within the limits of any municipality be and is hereby annexed

to the Village of Elk Grove Village in connection with "The Agreement",
so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the
boundary lines and limits of said Village.
Section 2: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk
Grove Village is directed to record a certified copy of this
Ordinance, together with an actual plat of said territory with the
Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3: That said property as annexed is, pursuant to the
terms and provisions of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance,
No. 842, and the Village of Elk Grove Village official map adopted
by ordinance No. 570, hereby included in the B-3 Zoning District.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law
