AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13.308, PLAT DIAGRAM, OF ARTICLE III,
BUILDING CODE OF CHAPTER 3 BUILDING ELECTRICITY AND PLUMBING
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois,
as follows:
Section 1: That Section 13.308, Plat Diagram of Article III, Building
Code of Chapter 13, Building, Electricity and Plumbing, be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 13.308 Plat Diaoram. Section 113.6 Plat Diagram is amended as
follows: and to include the following as the first sentence in the section:
113.6 Plat Plan and Survey:
In addition to the requirements below, evidence shall be furnished
to the Building Commissioner that the intended building site is a
lot of record as well as a plat of survey on said lot prepared by
a licensed Illinois Land Surveyor. For all other than additions to
single family residences and their accessary structures, the Build-
ing Commissioner shall be provided with a plat of survey showing
the location of said subsurface improvements in reference to prop-
erty lines and other structures located on the same property under
development, prior to proceeding with above -ground improvements,
prepared by a licensed Illinois Land Surveyor.
Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of
this ordinance shall be fined not less than $5.00, nor more than $500.00 for
each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day
during or on which the violation occurs or continues.
Section 3: That Ordinance No. 871 and all other ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication, according to law.
