HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 889 - 10/23/1973 - PROHIBIT CONNECTIONOrdinance No. 889 AN ORDINANCE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE, ILLINOIS An ordinance prohibiting the connection of sanitary or industrial waste sewers to storm water drainage system. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Trustees of the VILLAGE of Elk Grove, Illinois; Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to connect or cause to be connected, any drain carry- ing, or to carry, any toilet, sink, basement, septic tank, cess- pool, industrial waste, or any fixture or device discharging polluting substances, to any storm drain or sewer constructed relative to the improvement of Ringery Highway (F.A. Route 102, Illinois Route 83), State Section (540-1)R, or to any storm drainage or storm sewer line constructed within the corporate limits of the Village of Elk Grove Village. Section 2: Any person, firm, or corporation violating this ordinance shall be fined not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars (1500.00) for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed for each and every day during which a violation continues or exists. Section 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication, according to law. PASSED this 23rd day of October 1973.
