OR IN SAFETY ZONES, OF CHAPTER 14,
TRAFFIC, OF TILE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY The President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage
Counties, Illinois, as follows:
Section l.: That Section 14.306, Vehicles not to be driven
on sidewalks or in sai:ety zones, be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
14.306. Vehicles Not to be Driven Upon or Across
Sidewalks, Curbs, or in Safety Zones. It shall
be unlawful for the operator of any motor vehicle
to drive off the paved portion of anv roadway, upon
or across any curb or sidewalk, except at a permanent
or te,nporary driveway approved by the Village Engineer
of the Village of Elk Grove Village. No driver of an_v
motor vehicle shall drive into or upon any portion of
a designated safety zone.
Section 7.: That any person, firm or corporation who violates
any provision of this ordinance shall be fined in accordance with
Article 8, Penalties,of Chapter 14, Traffic, which provides for a
fine of not less than $1..00, nor more than $100.00 for each offense.
Section 3: Tnat this crdi.narc e shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication, ac-
cording to law.
