AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.81, PERMITTED USES IN THE I-1 (RESTRICTED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE (ORDINANCE NO. 842) OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ESTABLISHING A VETERINARY OUT-PATIENT CLINIC AS A CONDITIONAL USE. WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, acting as a Zoning Commission, conducted a public hearing duly called and held according to law, to consider the question of amending Section 5.81, Permitted Uses, in the I-l,restricted industrial district, thereby establishing a veterinary out-patient clinic as a permitted use, subject to certain restrictions and conditions hereinafter ennumerated; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village find and believe that the establishment of such use is in the best interests of the Village; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of. Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That Paragraph D, Offices, of Section 5.81, Permitted Uses, in the I-1 (restricted industrial district) be amended to read as follows: Section D. Offices. 1. Genera]. Business Offices 2. Veterinary Out -Patient Clinics, subject to the following conditions: (a) There shall be no boarding of animals of any kind except for those animal- so ill that the personal attention of a doctor of veterinary medicine is required, or those animals recover- ing frori surgerv, providing that any such boarding facility permitted be situated in the clinic and not attached thereto. (b) All business must be conducted within a completely enclosed building, and no outdoor kennel of any kind shall be penn.i_ted. (c) Incinerators, lime pits or other facilities for the destruction of animal waste or corpses or any type shall not be permitted. (d) Parking requirements shall be in accordance with Section 3.96 (c) (2), Medical or Dental Clinics Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation w'_o violates,disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforce- ment of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon con- viction thereof, be fined not less than $5.00, nor :'.ore than $500.00 for each and every offense. A separate offense shall be deemed ccm- mi.tted on each day a violation occurs cr continues. Section, 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication, according to law. PASSED this 27th day of. November , 1973.
