AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16, ARTICLE II
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION
16.203 AND DELETING SECTION 16.205(a) IN
REFERENCE TO PICKING UP OF CONTAINERS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 16.205(a) be deleted from the
Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village and
Section 16.203 be amended to read as follows:
"16.203 Containers Placed in a Public Way for Pick Up.
It shall be unlawful for any person to place a refuse or
garbage container on the public parkway, in any street,
alley or public way for the purpose of being emptied,
except after the hour of 6:00 P.M. on the day prior to
the scheduled day of pick up. All containers shall be
removed by 7:00 P.M. on the scheduled day of pick up; and
no such garbage or refuse shall be so placed so that it
can be blown about or scattered by the wind.
Section 2: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication,
according to law.
