AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CIIAPTER 14 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE
VILLAGE SO AS TO ESTABLISH A SECONDARY
DETOUR FOR ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD
NOWe THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 14.204, One Way and Two Way Stop
Intersections, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove
Village be amended by adding thereto the following streets under
Column A and Column B so that the traffic proceeding on streets
listed in Column A shall.stop before entering in or across the
intersections opposite them under Column B.

Wildwood Road Briarwood Lane
Wildwood Road Willow Lane
Wildwood Road Shady wood Lane -
Section 2: Thi Section 14.206, One Way Streets or Alleys,
be amended by adding thereto the following paragraphs:
"14.206
(c) Gaylord Street from Higgins Road to Bennett Street!
One way northbound only.
(d) Little Higgins Road from Wildwood Rd. to Park &
Shop Shopping Center : One way westbound only.
Section 3: That: Article 11 of Chapter 1.4 be amended by adding
thereto a new section, 111.206 A -- Do not Enter, which shall read as
follows:
"14.20G -A.
It sha11. be unlawful for tho operatorof any motor_ vehicle
a
to enter the following streets where a "Do Not Enter"
sign has been posted:
1. Holly Lane, north of Landmeier Road
2. Greenbriar Street, north of Landmeier Road
3. Crest Avenue, north of Landmeier Road
4. Thorndale Avenue, north of Landmeier Road "
Section 4: That Section 14.311, No Left Turn, as amended,
be further_ amended by adding thereto the following paragraphs:
"14.311
(c) No operator of any motor vehicle shall make a .left
turn from Wildwood Road into Ridgewood Road, unless ordered
to do so by a police officer.
(d) No operator of any motor vehicle shall make a left
turn from Wildwood Road into Bri.arwood Lane unless ordered
to do so by a police officer. "
Section 5: That Article III of Chapter 14 is hereby amended
by adding thereto a new section, Section 14.31.1 A, which shall read
as follows:
"14.311A - No Right Turn.
It shall be unlawful for the operator of any motor vehicle
to turn right where such turns are prohibited by ordinance.
(a) No operator of any motor vehicle shall make a
right turn from Wildwood Road into the following streets:
1. Evergreen
2. Woodcrest Lane
3. Crest Avenue "
Section 6: Any person, firm or corporation violating any
portion of the above ordinance shall be fined not less than $5.00,
nor more than $500.00 for each offense.

Section 7: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication,
according to law.
