AN ORDINANCE ANI ENDING CHAPTER 22A OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GR)VE VILLAGE WHEREAS, the Village has authorized its administraii.on bD determine with exactness the cost of servicing sewer users south of Devon Avenue who are serviced by sewage treatment plants and not by virtue of systems provided by the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago; and WHEREAS, the cost of servicing the af-ore;nentioned users is substantially greater than the cost of servicing other areas in the Village, which are in turn serviced by the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago; and WHEREAS, the sewage facilities of the Village should not place an obligation upon the general revenues of the Village, but should be self-sustaining and self-sufficient; NOW, TNEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the president and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of: Cools and DuPage, Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That Section 22-A-501 of the Municipal Cock of the Village of Elk Grove Village be amended by adding thereto the following : The foregoing rates shall not apply to users qualifying under the provisions of 22-A-503 of the Municipal Code. Section 2: That Section 22-A-502 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be amended by adding thereto the following: The foregoing rales shall not apply to users qualifying under the provisions of 22-A-503 of the Municipal Code. Section 3: That Lucre be iddud to ArLiele 5 of Chapter 22A Sewer Rates, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the following: "22-A-503: All sewer users whose sewer service is provided through a sewage treatment plant operated or owned by the Village of Elk Grove Village shall pay a sewer service fee of $28 per month per acre. Said fee shall be prorated, based upon the acreage of the property owned or leased to the user to the nearest one-tenth acre but in no event shall said fee be less than $15.00 per month per user. A1.1 sewer users seeking such initial service shall pay a tap -on sewer_ permit charge of $225.00. The foregoing rates and tap -on charge shall. supersede any and all such charges previously in force, " .Section n: This ordinanceshall be in full force and effect from and after-.1-Cr_>."r�"K �� 1972, according to law.
